I’m back in Chicago. Besides for a few long weekend trips I’ve got scheduled in November I’m finished with the north. While down here in the Chicago area I have little interest with the local scene other than the small river that flows less than 5 minutes away from home. I’ve fished very little since my return, but have gotten opportunities to fish this past week. On this particular small flow, I only fish it after dark. Mid October Up North
Since my hot streak of muskies and the tournament win in early October, the fishing cooled off for me considerably in the Northwoods. Northwoods Muskies First Week of October
It’s been one of the better weeks of muskie fishing since I can remember. In fact, it’s been the best I’ve experienced in the Northwoods in all of 2013! Due to the recent cool down, water temperatures on area lakes have finally fallen below 60 degrees, and turnover on the smallest waterbodies (300 acres or less) has finally begun!
