I don’t know
whether it’s
just me, but I’m
giddy as hell
about some of
these cool new
toys I will have
in my hands
starting in 2012
as part of my
association with
them. And if you
like Quantum
rods and reels,
maybe you will
too!
Each of these
products were
released to the
public early
this morning at
ICAST which is
being held in
Las Vegas.
Meet the Quantum
EXO line of rods
and reels.

Jason Sealock,
blogger of our
friends at
Wired2Fish, has
been keeping
everyone up to
date so here is
his entry about
everything new
with Quantum:

Quantum Smoke PT
spinning reels
http://www.quantumfishing.com/products/2278/Smoke.aspx
Will retail for
a very
respectable $160
In addition, a
new line of
multi-species
“Angling Edge
Rods” will be
available as
well. Heavily
influenced and
designed by Al
Lindner and the
TV show, these
rods will come
in 20 different
styles to
accommodate
everything from
walleye fishing,
smallmouth bass,
and even panfish.
Unsure what the
pricing will be
for these rods
but I’ve heard
rumors anywhere
from $80-$120.
And last but not
least, KVD has
introduced a new
signature series
“Tour KVD
Cranking
Classic” that
will run for
$300.
As I see and
read the news
myself, my only
qualm is that
rather than
focus on
out-pricing
other companies
with newer and
more
technologically-advanced
products, why
not make these
newer
introductions
more affordable
so that the
average guy
might have the
chance of
purchasing. Why
not lower on
price to pick up
on volume.
